Tarannum Pasricha is a filmmaker, visual artist, writer and illustrator who likes to weave poetry into every frame. After majoring in Applied Art at College of Art New Delhi, and studying briefly at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, she moved to Mumbai to work in advertising films. 

She began her career assisting some big names in the industry before establishing herself as an independent filmmaker. She has directed campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Netflix India, L’Oréal, Myntra, Parle-G, Wrangler, Oppo, Mellora, Toyota, Honda, Harpic, UNICEF and more; blending design and emotion in every shot.

Her campaign for Parle G won the IndIAA Award and her music video for Mission Paani & Swatchhata won an Abby.

Her short film, Ek Lakdi Thi, has been screened at 11 international festivals, winning accolades including Outstanding Achievement Awards at the Tagore International Film Festival.

Her recent focus has been writing screenplays that are in various stages of development for film and OTT platforms.

Her video art has shown at Utopian Dystopia in Kochi and her art collective The Nonsense Club created an installation for the Kala Ghoda Festival. As an illustrator, her work appears in “Meri Asha” and “Different Differenter”.

She lives for bold ideas and quiet experiments, often found writing, sketching or crafting something unexpected.
