About
Tarannum Pasricha is a filmmaker, screenwriter and visual artist whose work blends design, emotion and poetic storytelling. She studied Applied Art at the College of Art, New Delhi and later at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles before moving to Mumbai to work in advertising films.
She began her career assisting leading directors before establishing herself as an independent filmmaker. Her commercial work spans global and Indian brands including Netflix, Tommy Hilfiger, L’Oréal, Myntra, Parle G, Wrangler, Oppo, Toyota, Honda and UNICEF, with a visual style rooted in strong design and emotional clarity.
Her campaign for Parle G received the IndIAA Award and her music video for Mission Paani and Swachhata won an Abby.
She wrote and directed the short film Ek Lakdi Thi, also known by its English title Imprint, which has screened widely at international film festivals and received multiple awards. The film marked a shift toward more personal and introspective storytelling.

Alongside directing, her recent focus has expanded toward writing original screenplays and series concepts for film and streaming platforms. In 2025, her series concept was selected as a winner at the SWA Pitch Fest, where she pitched the project over two days to approximately forty production houses, OTT platforms and talent management companies. In the same year, another short film script advanced to the semi finals of the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest.

Alongside filmmaking, her video art has been exhibited in gallery spaces and she is a founding member of the art collective The Nonsense Club. She has also illustrated books including Meri Asha, a coffee table book of poems and Different Differenter, an activity book exploring skin colour.
